Blackmagic Design recently announced their new Pocket Cinema 6K Pro featuring an optional EVF, a Super35 image sensor, internal ND, a tiltable touchscreen and an additional mini XLR connection.
The new Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro comes with an array of features intended for camera operators and videographers who are looking for even more additional professional features in a small camera body. This camera comes with a new battery solution, namely it features an NPF-Style battery system (Sony NP-F570, not included by the way) which should perform better than the original Pocket Camera wich uses Canon’s LP-E6 batteries.
The camera has a Super35 image sensor, Canon EF lens-mount, and now features internal ND filters at 2, 4 and 6 stops, making it an amazing selling point for video shooters. Blackmagic claims the camera has an impressive 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO up to 25,600.
Blackmagic Design also released an optional battery grip capable of holding two additional batteries, meaning camera operators can use three batteries at the same time while shooting. Another important feature is the addition of a second mini XLR connection for connecting a second microphone, compared to the original Pocket camera which only has one.

One of biggest features of the BMPCC6K Pro is the new tilting screen in the back, which is similar to what Sony has done in the past. This new screen is an adjustable 5” touchscreen LCD with 1,500 nit of brightness. Speaking of new features, the camera has an optional (also not included) 1280 x 960 color OLED display EVF which locks on the camera by using an M4 screw and comes with four different types of eye-cups and options for right or left eyes.
