Zacuto, a popular camera accessories manufacturer, has announced the release of the Zacuto Micro Boom. This boom arm is designed to help content creators and camera operators capture high-quality audio during shooting situations such as interviews and testimonials. The Zacuto Micro Boom is a compact and lightweight solution that is easy to use and transport, making it potentially a great choice for on-the-go shooting.

The Zacuto Micro Boom features a unique design that allows users to position the microphone as close to the subject as possible while still keeping the boom arm out of the shot. This is achieved through a two-segment telescoping design, which allows the boom arm to extend from 26 inches to 46 inches (66 cm - 116,8 cm). The Zacuto Micro Boom also features a built-in cable management system that helps keep cables tidy and out of the way.

The Micro Mixer is powered by a single 9V battery and features a low-cut filter switch, a high-pass filter switch, and a headphone jack for monitoring audio in real-time.

Overall, the Zacuto Micro Boom is a versatile and portable solution for videographers, content creators, and camera operators for scenarios such as interviews or testimonials on the go. Although we are not convinced about its real-world practicality (might be difficult to walk around with it attached to a shoulder rig for example) with its compatibility of a wide range of microphones and mounting options, built-in cable management system, and two-segment telescoping design, it might have potential to be a popular choice among videographers who require flexibility and portability during their video productions. Only time will tell.
